How Do Students Change What Language to Read Books In?

To switch from English to Spanish (and vice-versa), students follow these steps. Changing this setting will change the language of the books that are recommended to the students; however, when the students search for books, this setting will not automatically set the search language setting.

1. From the student dashboard (main page), click on the student’s name in the top right corner of the page; then, click Interests.
   
2. From the Your myON Interests page, select the preferred language from the available choices at the top of the screen. English or Español are the most common choices, but depending on the available books, you may also see Russian, UK English, Mandarin Chinese, Mvskoke (Creek) Nation, Yavapai, Cheyenne Arapaho, and Welsh. Click the Save option when finished.
   

Students can also use the Language filter under the search tab on their library page to look for books in a specific language (or bilingual books). The languages that are available in the filter depend on the available books.
