Follow the steps below to find and copy assignments made by other educators or myON Made assignments. You can copy and re-use these assignments as-is, or you can edit them for your students.
- At the top of any myON page, select Assignments.
- On the left side of the Assignments page, under Shared Assignments, you'll see two options. Select one of the categories.
- myON Made: Assignments created by myON and made available to all myON users.
- From Other Educators: This includes assignments shared by other educators in your district and other myON users. (The district account settings determine whether your shared assignments can be seen only by your district or by other myON users.)
- There are a few ways to find assignments (described below). You can use more than one of these options to narrow the list:
- Use the Find Assignments field to search for assignments by keyword. Enter a term or phrase and press Enter.
- Choose a category by the Book Category drop-down list to see a list of assignments related to that category.
- Use the Grade Level drop-down list to find assignments for your students' grade.
- Use the Activity Type drop-down list to find assignments with specific types of activities.
- Use the Find Assignments field to search for assignments by keyword. Enter a term or phrase and press Enter.
- Once you have found an assignment that you're interested in, select Preview to view the assignment information.
- The assignment information will open on the right side of the page. You'll see a list of the books in the assignment, the activity types, and the instructions for the activities and the assignment as a whole. You'll also see who shared the assignment and the recommended grade range. If you want to close the information, select the left arrow icon next to the assignment name. If you decide you want to use the assignment, select Duplicate.
- A duplicate copy of the assignment will open. Here, you can change the books included, the completion settings, the reader settings, the instructions, and the activities, and you can choose which students you'd like to assign the assignment to (if any). If you are ready to make the assignment available, select Publish; if not, select Save as Draft.
Educators and administrators can share assignments to the community assignment pool. Mark your assignment as shared if you want others to benefit from the work you did to create assignments. When you choose to share an assignment, a copy of the assignment is shared with the community at that point in time; any changes you make to your personal copy later will not be made in the shared copy.
